Personal:

I am a 27 year old girl, from Illinois (via NYC), currently living in Austin, TX.

I've been running for about 6 years, have completed 14 marathons and recently qualified for the Boston Marathon with a time of 3:34!  This was a 23 minute PR for me!

After years of running very high mileage at pretty slow paces, I decided to get serious and joined Gilbert's Gazelles training group. The BQ came 8 months later.

Hoping this blog will help add some further insight and organization to my running. :)

 As Kanye says:

"Work it, make it, do it, makes us

Harder, better, faster, stronger

Now that that don't kill me

Can only make me stronger"

He better be right - otherwise, I don't know what the purpose of this morning was!

This was a hilly beast of a run.  I dropped the final part of it to "take it easy" but instead ended up running up Congress. At least I got the downhill finish.

Felt pretty good most of the way but my hammies started to give out at mile 15 on the wet trail.  Felt better once I got back on the road.

The splits are pretty consistent and I didn't crash at the end, so I think thats a win for this Saturday morning.   And I got in another 68 miles in this week. So I'll take it!

Splits: 9:40, 9:00, 8:52, 8:44, 8:48, 8:31, 9:05 (Mt. B), 8:43, 8:32, 8:34, 8:35, 8:39, 8:24, 8:42, 8:48, 8:45, 8:41, 8:36 - Avg. Pace 8:46

Nice job, it was a tough one out there. I will see how I feel later tonight and decide about a run tomorrow am on the trail. I may just take a recovery day, too.

Cool - let me know! I always feel like I recover better if I run. Or maybe I just tell myself that.

Big week, great finish to it today. We definitely don't have the hills up here in Abilene like you do in Austin.

Sweeeet run Dasha! Great miles today and for the week, you rock! We don't have hills like you do in Austin in the Rio, it is as flat as a pancake here

Wow...this was a good workout. I've only run in Austin once, there are some good hills!
